Photocure SR by Murakami

PVA-SBQ Pure PhotopolymerDirect Emulsion
Designed for Graphic & Commercial Printing

PHOTOCURE SR is a red colored PVA-SBQ presensitized pure photopolymer direct emulsion for UV, commercial graphics and textile (plastisol) inks:

  • Exhibiting superior resolution and definition with wide exposure latitude for one color to 4 color process printing.
  • Excellent solvent resistance and easy reclaiming.
  • Extremely durable and resistant to pinholing and breakdown.
  • Emulsion is presensitized. No diazo required.
  • Faster exposure time over conventional diazo type emulsions.
  • High solids content (~37%) for Quick stencil buildup.

Coating
The use of a sharp edged coater is preferred, unless the coating is required to be thick, such as on a 110 mesh or under. Using a clean, dry coater, apply one coat of emulsion to the print side of the screen. Rotate the screen 180 degrees and apply one coat of emulsion to the squeegee side. For optimal build up on coarse meshes (110 and under), apply one coat of emulsions to the print side and one coat to the squeegee side. Allow the screen to dry print side down. Then apply 2-3 very thin coats to the print side to build to the desired thickness, if necessary.

Exposure
If you are currently using a diazo type emulsion, your exposure time will be approximately 1/2 of your current exposures. If you are using a diazo/photopolymer (dual cure) type, your exposure will be approximately the same as your current exposure.
