Wilflex Inks

Washfastness
Transflex Soft inks possess good washability if cured and transferred in the correct way, and, because of their thermoplastic nature, all Transflex Soft colors should only be ironed from the back of the garment. We do not recommend that Transflex Soft inks are dry cleaned.

Wash Up
Conventional solvents or Bio-degradable Chemicals.

Transflex Soft
Transflex Soft is a soft feel, hot split transfer ink which has been specially formulated to give the appearance of a direct print onto both white and pastel colored fabrics. Transflex Soft offers wide improve ments in printability and transfer latitude over Conventional hot split transfer inks. These inks enable the printer to produce high definition graphic transfers, and, when using, the Transflex Soft Process Colors the printer is now able to produce four color process work in the form of a hot split transfer without the use of a clear backer. Transflex Soft can also be used for conventional cold split transfers.

Recommended Substrates
Transflex Soft is intended for use on knitted fabrics, cotton, linens, polyesters, polyester blends, rayon and open mesh nylons. We do not recommend these inks to be used on woven nylons or lycra. The addition of Transflex Adhesive (see separate information sheet) will improve the adhesion of the Transflex Soft colors to a far wider range of materials and also give the transfers greater stretch and durability.

Recommended Stencil System
Solvent resistant direct emulsions and capillary film are recommended.

Drying & Curing
All Transflex Soft inks should be passed through the dryer and gelled at temperatures between 90-110 degrees C/195-230 degrees F. It is important to stay within this temperature range as too low a temperature will result in a transfer with little strength and too high a temperature negatively effects the "split" of the final transfer.
