Murakami's AQUASOL TS

Fast, High Edge Definition, Textile Emulsion

AQUASOL TS is Murakami Screen's SBQ sensitized direct emulsion designed for the ultimate stencil for textile printing. Exhibiting superior resolution and definition Exposure time is extremely fast 3-5 times faster than diazo type emulsions. Extremely durable and resistant to pinholing and breakdown.

This emulsion is pre-sensitized and requires no diazo or mixing of sensitizer for printing with plastisol inks. Due to the high solids content (44%) fewer coats are required for optimal build up.

Coating
The use of a sharp edged coater is preferred, unless the coating is required to be thick, such as on a 110 mesh or under. Using a clean, dry coater, apply one coat of emulsion to the print side of the screen. Rotate the screen 180 degrees and apply one coat of emulsion to the squeegee side. For optimal build up on coarse meshes (110 and under), apply one coat of emulsions to the print side and one coat to the squeegee side. Allow the screen to dry print side down. Then apply 2-3 very thin coats to the print side to build to the desired thickness, if necessary.

Exposure

If you are currently using a diazo type emulsion, your exposure time will be approximately 1/4 of your current exposures. If you are using a diazo/photopolymer (dual cure) type, your exposure will be approximately 1/2 of your current exposure.
